President Obama Goes to Fallen Troops at Dover Air Force Base

President Obama made an unscheduled, overnight trip to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware overnight to observe up close a "solemn dignified transfer movement," the event which marks the return to the US of the remains of fallen service members.

Disgraceful in its gratuitousness.

If you want to visit our fallen heroes, Mr. President, do it in PRIVATE and WITHOUT YOUR CAMERA! Do it for the right reasons and you don't need a camera. Have some class.

For the record, Pres. Bush would not allow cameras at his frequent visits to the injured soldiers or families of the fallen ones. I would imagine Bush 41 handled it similarly in private.

This vile incompetent man has no business in the presence of those honorable men .Using them in his disgusting photo-op.

You guys don't get it, the country is center-RIGHT and what the Republicans DON'T need, are the phony moderates like McCain and Lindsey Graham "reshaping" the party. And I don't know why you guys keep using the ABC News/Washington Post poll, might as well throw it in the garbage, they each have an agenda, did you notice who they polled? Did you examine how the the questions were phrased? Obviously not.
Those squishes in the middle run scared because they have no DEFINING principles. I don't like Obama but he was a hardcore leftist and he is attempting to run the country that way. The last time we had a REAL TRUE Conservative Republican was Reagan and he ran that way "bold colors no pale pastels" and he WON that way and he governed that way. He didn't go around trying to find RINO's to appeal to everyone in the middle he supported Conservatives who were UNAFRAID to talk about less taxes and SMALL GOVERNMENT. When the GOP wakes up they will find that the grassroots has left them behind now of course they could grow a pair and join us or they can hit the road because 2010 will be the year of the Conservative!
The GOP should concentrate on finding good conservative candidates and the rest will fall into place.

Will Some Networks Stand By Fox?

The Obama administration instigated by Rahm alahm a ding dong, got slapped down by the mainstream media?allowed a Fox News Channel reporter to interview Treasury Department “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg after other network news executives said they wouldn't use a pool arrangement to speak to him unless Fox was included. The dispute over the interview on Thursday comes in the midst of an ongoing battle between the White House and Fox over the network's coverage of President Barack Obama. This is a a blatant attempt at Government control of the press. What else is new in this administration?
I think some of the other media are waking up. They are beginning to see that they are next. Even those who are in the tank for 0bama have areas where they disagree and they are finally realizing that they are not allowed to. Once Fox is eliminated, they would be next in line. Scary thought, remember, "First they came for Fox".. But the silence is deafening about any of this on local 'news' broadcasts.

The 2010 elections will decide the future of our great land - either we return to the center or become a banana republic. I vote for the center. Today the White House stepped up its attack on Fox News, announcing that the network would no longer be able to conduct interviews with officials as a member of the Press Pool. The Pool is a five-member group consisting of ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC organized by the White House Correspondents Association. Its membership is not subject to oversight by the government.

Before an interview with "Pay Czar" Kenneth Feinberg, the administration announced that Fox News would be banned from the press pool. This marks the first time in history that an administration had attempted to ban an entire network from the press pool.

The Federal Communications Commission voted unanimously Thursday to move toward new rules to prevent corporate Internet providers from charging online powers such as Google Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. extra for the large amount of infrastructure and bandwidth they use in delivering their services. While technical, the issue of network neutrality - or Net neutrality - has sparked a furious, expensive lobbying war. This is serious, folks. If it can be screwed up (and it can), the Government will screw it up. Under Obama, it's a certainty. This has to be stopped.

And I guess we're siding with the Times of London, the Financial Times, etc., for wondering how Obama has actually earned this award. He flatly has not earned this, everyone knows it, and to say that Republicans are "siding with terrorists" for pointing this out is reprehensible. 51% Of The People Say No To Health Care

Fifty One percent of voters nationwide say that passing no health care reform bill this year would be better than passing the plan currently working its way through Congress. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 39% disagree and say the current effort is better than doing nothing.

What are Obama's priorities?

There are American men and women fighting in Afghanistan. They are in harm's way while they wait for President Barack Obama to decide whether or not to send more troops. Obama says, "I'll let you know in a few weeks."

Iran is testing nuclear missiles to ensure their range will strike Israel. More than 6 million Americans are unemployed, and the number is growing. A health care proposal is looming with mandates to these Americans and more to purchase this health care or face fines if they do not comply. An innocent young man, an honor student, was killed, for no apparent reason on the streets Chicago. This is not an isolated case, but all too common in this country.

What is Obama doing? He is off to Denmark to make a bid for the Olympics to be played in Chicago in 2016. What is wrong with this picture? What are Obama's priorities?

I take ANY statistics quoted by politicians with a grain of salt. These days with the ready availability of the internet, most folks can find numbers to back up most any statement, no matter how outrageous. It doesn't take much instruction in statistics to know that numbers are easily manipulated. Most politicians are clueless about even the most basic fundamentals of mathematics, but that certainly never stops them from throwing around "facts" and figures implying they are gospel.

A classic example is Algore and his endless BS about climate change. For a man who has trouble speaking in complete sentences, believing his interpretation of scientific data is insane.
